We Are Your Skoolie Friendly RV Park
Quigley’s Station is straight up, Skoolie Friendly. In fact, we are strong supporters of those who take on a school bus conversion project, because it’s a HUGE project.
In many cases, converted school buses are more safe than a newer RV, of course in depends upon the level of conversion, but these days most of these projects are elaborate.
The skoolie community is unique, and they cover a wide range of backgrounds which makes their story around a campfire very interesting.
Yes, they look like hippies, so what! Everyone looks like one as they age, don’t they? Most retired men are growing beards, hair is graying for both genders and we won’t dare go into weight! It’s a ridiculous and bias argument, but RV parks have the right to choose who they want to work with, which is exactly why we are friendly to skoolies.
We're not suggesting we're against newer RVs, but if you stay at Quigley’s Station and end up next to a converted bus, rather than frown on it or be critical, introduce yourself and ask for a tour. You’ll be amazed if not impressed at the skill required to do one of these projects. It’s not an easy task.
You’ll probably find a young family traveling in a skoolie, embrace it, don’t frown on it. Traveling is one of the best ways to learn about the world, and exposing your kids to travel is a wonderful asset to pass on.
Here at Quigley’s you have riverfront RV sites a country store, and some of the best fishing in Northern California. It’s peaceful and if you’re a nomad worker, you can work from here as well.
Come join us! We look forward to seeing your rig.
